Logan snapped. “I’ll take it from her! I’ll be responsible! I don’t care.”
Julian sighed. “Logan. Logan, be realistic.”
Logan shook his head, eyes still wide. “I don’t know, I turned around and your eyes were red, then you howled, or screamed, or fuck, I don’t know, but it was terrifying, and you told me to never do that again.” Logan shook his head again. “Seriously, what the fuck?”
Julian scowled. “You shouldn’t have tried to do that, then. Logan. If you really want to make me happy, for some goddamned reason, you can’t just use your powers and say ‘done.’”
Logan scowled, his eyes growing dark. “At least I tried! That’s more than anyone else has seemed to do…”
Julian kept silent. He leaned forward and wrapped his arms around the blond. He closed his eyes, still silent, arms still around Logan.
Logan froze for a moment, but then slid his arms around Julian, reciprocating the silent embrace.
Julian let go of Logan after a moment. He stared up at the blond. He looked to side, and sighed. “I’m sorry. I told you. I am soulless. You can’t make me happy. Not with that.”
Logan frowned, turning to sit beside Julian on the bed. “Can you be happy? Ever?”
Julian shrugged. “I don’t know.” He leaned against Logan’s side. “I have to… I have to fix myself first.”
Logan slid his arm around Julian’s back, hand resting on his hip. “How do you do that? I just want you to be happy, again, Jules.”
“We burn the placeholder.” Julian said. “I don’t know. Get rid of her,” he said, knowing he didn’t need to specify who he was talking about.
Logan narrowed his eyes. “And how do we do that? I thought you needed her.”
“Yes. I do need her. She has it. She has the key to it, at least. I may own it, even if it’s no longer mine, but she… she’s been given it as a promise. Find someone to take it from her.”
Logan shook his head, eyes still wide. “I don’t know, I turned around and your eyes were red, then you howled, or screamed, or fuck, I don’t know, but it was terrifying, and you told me to never do that again.” Logan shook his head again. “Seriously, what the fuck?”

I’m still angsting about the ending, truthfully.

Julian looked at Logan for a moment, not sure how to say what he wanted to say. That he was sure. So he didn’t say anything. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to Logan’s.
Logan relaxed nearly immediately, his hand moving over to Julian’s hip, pulling him closer, his other hand going to his side. He kissed back slowly, enjoying the calm pace for just a moment.
After a few seconds, the actor pulled away. “Yeah. … yeah.”
Logan smiled, honestly, for once. “Good.” He waited a moment before pulling Julian back in, locking their lips.
Julian didn’t know how to react, so he simply kissed back, pulling closer to Logan. He pulled away, heart stepping out and mind finally reacting to the situation. “Wait, w-what just happened, Logan?”
Logan licked his lips, his mind following the same track as Julian’s. “I-I don’t know.” he admitted.
Julian looked at Logan. “We need to leave my room. Now.” He said, and stood up, taking Logan’s wrist.
Logan stood, ready to follow Julian. His eyes drifted to the closet, and he had a feeling that was why.
Julian led him out of the room as quickly as he could. He entered Logan’s room, and sat down on his bed. “I still don’t understand, Logan.”
“What’s there to understand, Jules? Just…. don’t fight me when I try to do something. Don’t ignore me when I try to make you happy.” Logan moved next to Julian. “Let me do what I can, OK? Now stay here,” he told him, placing his hand on his shoulder a moment before moving to his piano.
Julian nodded. He stood up again, locked the door, and headed back to the bed. He sat patiently, waiting for whatever Logan was planning on doing.
Logan sat down, looking back at Julian from the black bench he was on. “Don’t fight this, OK? I’m going to charm you.” He turned back, his fingers beginning to play a light melody. “This should only last for a few days. Just relax.” And with that he was off, playing the melody, certain notes and harmonies thrown in to create a joyous song, brightening the moods of all who were around him. He sure hoped it worked on Julian.
Julian listened to the song. He didn’t try to fight it. He felt something enclosing him, circling him, but he wasn’t sure what, and furthermore, he wasn’t sure if he even wanted to know. But that ended. His heart, mind, everything was soaring and just every problem was disappearing, but it ended. He was dragged away. Quickly, silently, away from the room. His ears covered. He didn’t know where he was. But it was dark. And Logan wasn’t there.
Logan played a while longer before finishing the song strong, a bright sensation filling the room. He turned around a moment later, expecting to see Julian with a smile. He didn’t expect to see the actor with a zoned-out expression on his face, everything blank but his eyes, which looked lost and terrified. Logan stood up quickly, walking to Julian. He was tempted to touch him, to shake him out of his daze, but he was afraid of what would happen. “Jules?” he asked quietly.
Julian’s eyes turned red. But they were not Julian’s eyes. His mouth opened, and a voice came out. The voice was rough and high and piercing and low and haunting and definitely not the actor’s. “Don’t ever try to do that again.”
The voice ended. His eyes closed. He fell to the bed, and a moment later, he sat back up and blinked at Logan. “Lo…? What happened?”
Logan raced froward, grabbing Julian’s face, looking at it with worry. “Jules? Jules!? Are you OK? Holy shit….” He scanned the actor’s face carefully, gazing into his eyes with concern. “Fuck…”
Julian nodded. “I’m fine.” He clasped Logan’s hand tightly in his. “What happened?”
